Sandra Palmer, A.P.R.N.
Advanced Practice Registered Nurse
Our Advanced Practice Registered Nurse is Sandra Palmer who joined our practice in January 2003. Ms. Palmer has worked at UCONN Health Center for over 25 years and received her Masters of Science in Nursing from St. Joseph's College in West Hartford in 2000. In addition to caring for the generalized urology population of this practice, she specializes in treatment of interstitial cystitis and urodynamic studies both for men and women. She also heavily concentrates on treating men who suffer from hypogonadism and exploring the many treatment options associated with it. Her professionalism, concern and caring for patients is a wonderful complement to our practice. (Learn more about APRNs)
Kathy Augeri, CMMP, CHM, CPOM, RMA
Certified Practice Manager
Kathy has been with the practice since January 2000. She came to our office with the merger of Dr. Weiss who has since retired. Kathy has been in urology for many years which include a background in medical assisting, billing and coding as well as practice management. She received her RMA certification in 2013 and her CMMP, CHM and CPOM in 2014. She is currently on the Executive Board serving as secretary for The National HealthCare Leaders Association (NHCLA) which promotes education and networking among medical management professionals.
Amelia Hamilton
Medical Administrative Specialist
Amelia has been employed by the practice for over 10 years. She is a graduate of Goodwin College's Office Management Program. Amelia is our surgical coordinator in addition to handling many insurance issues, billing and appointment scheduling problems. She enjoys reading and spending time with her husband and sons in her free time.
Laci Barros, RMA
Medical Assistant
Laci has been with the practice since March 2014. She graduate from Porter & Chester in 2013 for medical assisting and became certified as an RMA in 2014. She assists Dr. Zamstein with all his in-office urologic procedures. Laci brings hospital ER experience as well as other medical to our office. She is very patient oriented and a wonderful addition to the practice.
